Night Glow

This is a painting I did for my mother for this past Christmas. She fell in love with a painting at the Winter Park Art Festival several years ago, and described it to me many times. It was a deep forest with three glowing lights floating within it, each orb representing one of her children. This was my interpretation.

Painted with acrylic on a recycled canvas. The highlights in the forest and the glowing lights were done in metallic pearl paint, and the photo does not do its illumination justice. The metallic details reflect light beautifully and actually appear to glow in shadows.
