Design a new identity and wayfinding system for the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum located at Flagler College. Design includes a new logo, color scheme, and typefaces. Final design must be “implemented” into a wayfinding system, identifying the new brand across a variety of environmental signage installation elements.

Design Goals & Objectives

The goal of this wayfinding system is to provide CEAM with a new identity that is seen in the community as individual and available to the public. The museum always has exhibits and needs more traffic and visitation. This new identity and system will bring attention to the museum and identify the museum as modern, involved, connected, and open.

Competitors

Competitors of the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum are other galleries in the area, which is a vast assortment. While these galleries tend to work together in events such as the Art Walk, it is important for CEAM to draw attention as a public museum and not only associated with the college. It is important that CEAM is seen as open to the public, and not reserved for the college.

Differentiation

The unique aspect of the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum is the involvement of Flagler College students. Flagler College is a tourist attraction in itself, and highly regarded by locals. The museum not only includes art work from national artists, but also professors, current art students as well as alumni, and every semester exhibits portfolios of graduating students. This offers the opportunity for the community to support its college students and to see the most current and modern art being created- by practicing art students!

The brand Haagen-Dazs is in need of a holiday gift to promote continued support from their major stockholders. The gift will be centered around the unique flavors, all natural ingredients, and honey bee awareness efforts that set Haagen-Dazs apart from its competitors. Inspirational cards will be creatively displayed to promote the company in an interactive way. A gift box will be designed and constructed to connect the flair of Haagen-Dazs with their environmental efforts. Inside the box a series of inspirational cards will be displayed, identifying key Haagen-Dazs flavors and ingredients that rely on honey bee pollination. The cards will showcase the unique qualities that make Haagen-Dazs one of the leading brands of frozen treats, and highlight the legacy of the brand to promote the continued support Haagen-Dazs is seeking from its
stockholders.

Design Objective

As a luxery ice cream brand, it is important to promote the legacy of Haagen-Dazs and it’s commitment to pure key ingredients. The gift is designed to highlight these principles, as well as remind stockholder’s of the successful environmental efforts led by Haagen-Dasz for “Help the Honey Bees”. Haagen-Dazs implemented this campaign with great success and environmentalism continues to be popular among consumers.
